Project Overview
Recycled Roadways were appointed to provide material blending services for construction products supplier Heidelberg UK at their Dagenham Facility. The work involved the blending of washed marine sand with 0-4mm limestone material to make a concrete sand to specification for Thames Tideway concrete production.
The marine feed material was delivered to site by Heidelberg dredgers as ballast as dredged and processed through their on-site wash plant to make washed concrete sand. The limestone was delivered daily by rail from quarries in Southwest England derived from quarry aggregate production
Our site set up of Wirtgen KMA 220 blending plant, stacking conveyor and front-end loading shovel were used by our operations team to blend the materials to have concrete sand ready for the next days production of concrete.
The finished material was stocked in the onsite storage bays or loaded onto site dumptruck and hauled to the concrete plant.
Our site set-up and operatives were fully integrated with Heidelberg site operations.
