Our own Rowhan Basi raised funds for Dementia UK charity after completing the Manchester Marathon in April. Rowhan who works in our offices, completed the 26-mile run in 4 hrs and 28 minutes. Very good timing given he has not run any marathon previously.
Dementia was selected as the charity to run for as it sits close to home as Rowhan’s Nana suffered from for several years.
The Manchester Marathon was first organised in 1908 and its current format was restarted in 2012. The event, which kicked off at the E2 Car Park near Old Trafford Stadium looped through South Manchester, Sale and Altrincham, before heading back to the city centre. The 2026 marathon featured a record-breaking field of over 42,000 runners.
